JOURNEYPERSON ROOFER (RED SEAL)
The Role. As a fully qualified trades position, the Journeyperson Roofer is integral to the roofing team, providing sound technical expertise on commercial roofing applications under the general direction of the Crew Leader. The Journeyperson Roofer is responsible for inspecting problems and determining best approaches for repairing and/or replacing, preparing, applying, servicing, insulating, and replacing roofs, including removing existing roof, preparing, and repairing roof surfaces.

Examples of the Opportunities to Develop On-The-Job Skills and Experiences
· Commercial, institutional, and residential flat roof replacement with modified bituminous membrane (SBS), TPO, PVC, EPDM, and Liquid Applied.
· Roof assessments and maintenance audits.
· Partial roof replacements.
· Thermal imaging to identify bridges in insulation, wet insulation, R-value of insulation, and inefficiencies in the system.

· The ability to lift up to 110 lbs (50 kgs) with assistance as needed, and 20 lbs (10 kgs) consistently.

Adapts on-the-job performance to help move jobs and projects along, volunteers to ensure every task is completed efficiently.
Wages and Benefits – $37.50/hour+, overtime eligible, employee group benefits, vacation pay, general holiday pay
